God’s Heart for Mission
As church leaders, we all want to serve and reach our communities, but the question is always: how can we best do that? Sometimes, we look to what other churches, in other cities, are doing and we take a page out of their books. We try to replicate what works well somewhere else.
The problem is, mission originates more from seeing and hearing than about thinking and strategizing. When we see and hear about what is broken in our communities, that will break our hearts as it does God's, and then we can begin to meet those needs. Serving and loving inevitably brings you to unexpected places.
As we interviewed church planters all over the world, you can imagine their communities were drastically different. That means the ways they serve them look quite a bit different as well. If you want to get a front row seat to the work of global missionaries – and learn transferrable principles in the process – take a few minutes to listen to the Church Plantology Podcast.
